Last weekend I finished my refurb of two antennas I previously had installed at another location. I now have a Ringo Ranger II (ARB2X) at 50' and a RS scanner antenna at 40'. Great coverage. Now for my HF antennas... Wednesday, August 10, 2005UASD File Creator Updated
I have made a few changes to the UASD to make it easier to use and fix problems. The new Automatic Field Selection now will try to pick the fields from RR.com for you. If you are having problems with the Automatic, you can choose Manual instead. Tuesday, August 02, 2005UASD System File Creator Added
I've taken a little time and added a script to create UASD usd files from copy and pasted tg info. You can find it under the Scanning resources. Tuesday, July 26, 2005New Radio!
I have received my new Uniden BearCat BCD396T Scanning Radio about 3 weeks ago. It is by far the most advanced scanner on the market. The shear number of features available is mind boggling. This does make it a bit more difficult to program but with the available Uniden and 3rd party software available, it becomes much easier using the computer. If you haven't seen the specs, check out: http://www.uniden.com/productpop/00_productpop.cfm?prd_code=BCD396T for the complete story. One of the more innovative features is the Fire Tone-Out allowing for alert triggering based on the standard two-tone paging systems used by most all fire departments. I am currently compiling the tone-outs for Bay and Midland counties and have already posted Midland on RadioReference.com. Tone-outs will also be made available on the scanning page for a bit of an easier read. till next time, 73s Saturday, June 04, 2005New Tower nearing completion
Finally got the new 40' tower put together and raised. Looks good and has great height in the area we placed it. Now onto the antennas. Friday, March 18, 2005Water is Bad!!
